Memphis Cook Convention Center to Receive Major Facelift

The Architect's Newspaper - Renovations to the Memphis Cook Convention Center are part of Memphis' larger citywide Bicentennial Gateway Project to celebrate 200 years in 2019. Updates will include an expanded footprint, outdoor terraces with views to the river and downtown skyline, improved exhibition hall with increased breakout space, a new grand entrance and sky bridge, expanded back-of-house access, cosmetic changes to the 2,100-seat Canon Center for the Performing Arts, and expanded opportunities for public art.
