The Citizen Offers Mixed-Use Lifestyle

Daily Memphian - Although developers haven't yet announced a ground-floor commercial tenant, residents of The Citizen are already experiencing a mixed-use lifestyle with healthcare, groceries, a bank, and numerous restaurants and cafes nearby. Most of the 98 units in phase one have already been leased and pre-leasing on phase two's 75 units began two weeks ago. Read more.

LRK-Designed Projects Win BRED Awards

Memphis Business Journal - Several LRK-designed projects were named winners at the Memphis Business Journal’s inaugural Best Real Estate Deals (BRED) awards ceremony, held April 25th at The Cadre Downtown. The Best Real Estate Deals honor the most significant commercial real estate deals that occurred in the Mid-South in 2017 and 2018. The Citizen was a winner in the residential category, while 999 S. Cooper Street was named a finalist. Wiseacre Brewery was the winner in the retail/restaurant category. LRK is also designing a renovation of office space at Toyota Plaza for Indigo Ag, who won the office category and was named Deal of the Year. Read more.

The Citizen Welcomes its First Residents

Memphis Business Journal - The Citizen, the long awaited redevelopment at the corner of Union Avenue and McLean Boulevard, will welcome its first residents over the weekend. Construction on an adjacent mixed-use building is anticipated to be complete in July. LRK provided architectural services for the project. Read more.

Groundbreaking for Union/McLean Mixed-Use Project

Memphis Business Journal - A formerly blighted corner at Union Avenue and McLean Boulevard is undergoing a transformation to become home to a mix of apartments, restaurants, and retail. The $33.5 million project, known as The Citizen, marks the first construction of new apartments in Midtown in more than 15 years. A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday.
