At Home Memphis & MidSouth - An LRK-designed home is featured in the latest issue of At Home Memphis & MidSouth. Inspired by the architecture and color palette of the Gulf Coast community Rosemary Beach, this Germantown home has an inviting street presence, but the layout differs from other homes in the area. Rather than the usual front and rear yard plan, this home opens up to an entertaining courtyard on the northern side and an auto court entrance on the southern side of the home. Read more.
The Commercial Appeal - Stakeholder meetings were held in Germantown last week to find the highest and best uses for the 303-acre Forest Hill Heights site, specifically dense development that would generate the most tax revenue for the city. Based on public input, some suggested uses include one- and two-story residential, retail, and office buildings interspersed with green spaces. The Commercial Appeal - The Shops of Saddle Creek expansion has announced 7 new nationally-known tenants including Apple, Vom Fass, Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill, Select Comfort, Lily Rain, Soft Surroundings, and Kendra Scott Jewelry, which just opened for business today. They join major brand Michael Kors, which opened this past summer. LRK provided architectural services for the retail expansion - 140,000 square feet of shopping and dining venues set in a walkable pedestrian-oriented landscape with a timeless blend of contemporary and transitional architecture, all within the City of Germantown’s Smart Growth District. Fort Worth-based Trademark recently announced that the NEW Saddle Creek is taking shape in Germantown, TN. Demolition has commenced on 20,000 square feet of existing space, which will be replaced with an additional 40,000 square feet of new retail space in that area. Scheduled for completion in 2015, the NEW Saddle Creek will offer 168,000 square feet of retail space with remodeled building exteriors, facade improvements, and upgraded amenities throughout the property. The Daily News - Features the 2013 Vesta Home Show which opened to the public on Saturday, November 9th. The LRK-designed Silverton is one of the six Vesta Homes located in St. James Place, a neighborhood off Forest Hill-Irene Road in Germantown. So far the show has been the busiest since 2007. The homes will remain open through December 1st.
