LRK Principal Jim Constantine presented the history and evolution of Metuchen, NJ at Rutgers University's Bloustein School 2017 Isadore Candeub Memorial Lecture in Planning. The lecture discussed how a small New Jersey town accomplished a remarkable revitalization effort between 1967 and 2017. LRK has proudly served as town planner for the borough for more than 20 years. Read more

Work Begins on Metuchen’s Pearl Street Redevelopment

NJTOD.org - Work on the Pearl Street redevelopment is underway in downtown Metuchen. The project will transform one of the Borough’s surface parking lots into a mixed-use project with residential, commercial, public space, and a parking garage. Located one block from Main Street, the redevelopment is also easily accessible from the Metuchen Station. LRK services included preparing the vision plan and master plan; public space framework including the performance standards for the “shared space” concept surrounding the town square; urban design, architectural and landscape design standards; zoning; and design review. Read more.
