PARK(ing) Day is an annual, daylong global event where citizens, artists, and activists collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public mini-parks, or "parklets". In Philadelphia, approximately 60 volunteer teams design, build, and install these temporary 170 square-foot parklets throughout the city as a gift to their fellow citizens.
