Somerset Green Potential Spark for Industrial Inner Loop

Houston Chronicle – As the first phase of Somerset Green nears completion, the 46-acre industrial site has been transformed into a community with a European feel with canals, walkways, and multistory homes, and although construction is still underway, 80 to 85 percent of the homes are already spoken for. While much of the land surrounding Somerset Green has largely been untouched by redevelopment, developer Hines believes the location is extremely appealing because of its proximity to Loop 610, downtown, the Galleria, and Washington Avenue and that Somerset Green will spark more activity in the area. Somerset Green Named The Best Residential Project of the Year

Realty News Report - Editor Ralph Bivins has selected some of the most significant projects and deals in Houston’s real estate market in 2015, and the new luxury townhome community, Somerset Green, was named the Best Residential Project of the Year. The article notes that in addition to Somerset Green’s overall quality, the community is significant because it encourages denser development along the Old Katy Road area. LRK’s services for Somerset Green included providing architectural design for the amenity center and gatehouse and creating a 3D model to assist builders and buyers envision the neighborhood. Houston Business Journal – The first model homes have opened in Somerset Green, a new luxury townhome community located in Houston. This European-inspired community features a guarded gatehouse and a 5,000-square-foot amenity center with walking paths, pocket parks, and water canals interspersed throughout. LRK provided architectural services for the amenity center and gatehouse and created a 3D model to assist builders and buyers envision the neighborhood.
