Church Health at Crosstown Concourse is a finalist in the Best Renovation Large category, the University of Memphis' Laurie-Walton Family Basketball Center in the Best New Construction Large category, and the Medical District Streetscape Improvements project in the Best Renovation Small category. Memphis Business Journal - A building permit has been filed to construct the University of Memphis' new indoor basketball practice facility. The LRK-designed building will feature one full-size court with four basketball goals, weight/fitness rooms and performance center, Hall of Fame, sports medicine facilities, academic space, ticket office, media accomodations, and basketball operations offices. The Daily News - The University of Memphis has hired Smith Group JJR with LRK as the local partner to develop a master plan that seeks the input from campus neighbors. The inclusive approach plans to connect the campus to the surrounding neighborhoods and businesses to strengthen the economy and fiber of the city.
