Daily Memphian - Construction is expected to commence in April or May on the U.S. Marine Hospital renovation. The project consists of three brick buildings: the 75,000-square-foot main hospital and a 15,000-square-foot maintenance structure built in the 1930s and a 4,500-square-foot nurses' quarters built in the 1880s. The buildings will provide 71 multifamily units including studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. In addition to the planned apartment amenities, residents will have easy access to the nearby Metal Museum, Chickasaw Heritage Park, and Crump Park. LRK is providing architectural services for the renovation. Read more.
