Environmental Graphic Designer

LRK is currently seeking an architectural Environmental Graphic Designer to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have an understanding of architectural forms and spatial relationships to effectively communicate the firm’s message through print or electronic means. 

Responsibilities will include creation and development of a wide variety of graphics from wayfinding, signage, branding, internal marketing materials, presentations, conceptual packages, architectural renderings and any other graphic related items.  This position requires the ability to deal with ambiguity and work with all types of design teams on short schedules.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or architecture and 7+ years experience in graphic illustration, brochure design, and presentations.  Experience with large format architectural plans and environmental graphics a plus.  Candidate must be detail oriented, have an excellent sense of design and high level of creativity to produce an aesthetically pleasing product.  Must be highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and the latest design software packages.  

Specification Writer

LRK is currently seeking a Specification Writer to join our Memphis, TN office.  Responsibilities include coordinating and producing project manuals, researching products and materials, performing code reviews, assisting project designers with material selection and system research, risk management resource to project teams, developing and strengthening relationships with vendors, continual development and improvement of LRK’s specifications templates for different project types and technical education of the design staff.

The ideal candidate must have 10+ years of proven experience in the architectural field with prior experience in specifications development.  Prior experience in a construction setting a plus.  Must possess a comprehensive understanding of building codes, building technology and structures; and have outstanding communication and customer service skills.  Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to effectively educate design staff are required.  Proficiency with Specifications software programs and Microsoft Office Suite is a must.  AutoCAD and/or Revit knowledge desired.  Degree in architecture required.  Architectural license and LEED AP preferred.

Interior Designers/Architects

LRK is currently seeking Interior Designers/Architects to join our Memphis, TN office. Interior Designer/Architect responsibilities will include the full scope of design to technical documents for projects ranging from small banks to large multi-family or commercial office projects. 

The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of proven experience in all phases of the design process, preferably with multi-family residential and/or mixed-use projects, commercial, medical, or hospitality.  Proficiency and talent in concept development, construction documentation, selection and specification of furniture and finishes, and knowledge of building and accessibility regulations is required.  The candidate must have excellent communication and client interaction skills.  Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to work as part of a project team on a complex project or work independently on a small project are required.  Proficiency with AutoCad, Revit, InDesign, PhotoShop, and Microsoft Office Suite is strongly preferred.  Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture or related field required.  NCIDQ and LEED AP desired.

Project Managers

LRK is currently seeking Project Managers to join our Memphis, TN office.  Project Manager responsibilities include management of client relationships, budgets, and the production team throughout all phases of the project, whether large or small.   Depending on the project size/scope, may manage a team or work independently producing and managing the project.  

 The ideal candidate must have 8+ years of proven experience in all phases of the design process, preferably with multi-family residential and/or mixed-use projects.  A comprehensive understanding of building technology and structures; and have outstanding communication and client interaction skills required.  Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to lead and develop a project team on a complex project or work independently on a small project are required.  Proficiency with AutoCad, Revit, InDesign, PhotoShop, SketchUp Pro and Microsoft Office Suite is strongly desired.  Bachelors of Architecture degree required.  Architectural license and LEED AP preferred.

Project Architects

LRK is currently seeking Project Architects to join our Memphis, TN office.  Project Architect responsibilities include producing design development and construction documents in AutoCAD or Revit from conceptual drawings, assisting in conceptual and schematic design, managing production work with a high level of technical accuracy.

The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of proven experience in all phases of the design process.  A comprehensive understanding of building technology and structures and demonstrated problem solving skills required.  Proficiency with AutoCad, Revit, InDesign, PhotoShop, SketchUp Pro and Microsoft Office Suite is a must.  Bachelors of Architecture degree required.  Architectural license and LEED AP preferred.

Construction Administrator/Project Architect

LRK is currently seeking a Construction Administrator/Project Architect in our Memphis, TN office.  This position will be responsible for observing construction for conformity to construction documents, working with PM during construction phase to update documents and lessen project risk.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of proven experience in the design and construction field, preferably with commercial, multi-family residential and/or mixed-use projects.  This position requires a comprehensive understanding of construction techniques and methods, building codes and standards, fair housing and ADA.  Outstanding communication, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills required.  Demonstrated experience in solving problems in the field, organization skills and making decisions in ambiguous situations required.  Knowledge of AutoCad, Revit, and Newforma preferred.  Degree in architecture or construction management required.  Architectural license and LEED AP preferred.
