Downtown Bolivar Facade Renovations

Acting on one of the recommendations in the downtown Bolivar master plan, 54 turn-of-the-century buildings were returned to their historic proportions and composition. The renovations consisted of stabilizing deficient structural conditions and replacing aluminum and plywood façades to traditional storefront designs. Energy-efficient glazing was utilized, inappropriate signage and awnings replaced, deteriorated and boarded up windows refurbished, brick repointed, and damaged wood details painted and restored.
