Phase one of this long-awaited project is underway with the partial demolition of the blighted Towery Building. The first phase will transform the building into a $24-million mixed-use project containing 173 apartments, parking, and ground-floor retail. A second phase will include 26,500 square feet of commercial space, including the renovation of a 17,800-square-foot strip shopping center. Phase one construction began late 2017.
