Millennial Entrepreneurs Thriving in Philly's New Kreate Hub

WPVI-TV/6abc – The long-awaited renovation of the Thomas Powers School in Philadelphia’s Port Richmond neighborhood into a Kreate Hub is now complete. Founded in New York, Kreate Hub looks for old buildings to renovate into creative and affordable workspace for emerging artists, makers, and entrepreneurs and seeks to energize surrounding neighborhoods in the process. Kreate Hub’s newest location opened earlier this month in Philadelphia, providing a creative outlet for young millennials to grow their businesses.  LRK was the architect for Philly’s Kreate Hub space, where great care was taken to reuse and celebrate the building’s original details, including oak floors, pressed tin ceilings, arched hallway openings, and unique chalk-board inlaid rolling partitions.
