Orleans Station to Bring Residents, New Retail to Medical District

Daily Memphian - Orleans Station, a 10.2-acre mixed-use redevelopment in downtown Memphis’s Medical District, received approval from the State Building Commission earlier this week. Featuring 372 apartments, 16,000 square feet of retail, and a central plaza, the development is planned to bring hundreds of new residents to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center campus and re-energize the Medical District. LRK, who is providing architectural and planning services for the project, took design inspiration from older buildings on the UTHSC campus and nearby Victorian Village. Construction is expected to be complete in August 2023.
