Princeton Junction Transit Village
Situated at a major station along the Northeast Corridor Rail Line, the busiest rail line in North America, the Princeton Junction Transit Village is a mixed-use hub of multi-modal transportation, public space, retail, restaurant, hotel and a range of residential uses. LRK provided master planning, design guidelines and architecture for this 25-acre Transit-Oriented Development plan including a new town square called The Promenade. The vision integrates forward-looking architectural and placemaking character for the 35,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space, a five-story hotel, 100 units of senior housing and 150 townhomes, public space programming, streetscape improvements and enhanced pedestrian access to the station. Currently LRK is providing architectural services for the 522 multi-family housing units, which includes 430 market-rate and 92 affordable apartments, the ground floor retail, and two parking garages.
