With the goal of energizing the emerging South Main Historic Arts District, a 107-year-old warehouse was redeveloped in compliance with Department of the Interior guidelines for Artspace. In partnership with the City of Memphis and the Hyde Family Foundation, the historic three-story warehouse and a new four-story building was transformed into a mixed-use arts facility with 58 affordable live/work units for artists and their families, community/gallery space, and an outdoor arts garden. LRK provided architectural design and historic rehabilitation services.
