Cresting at the Northeast corner of the site, Jackson-Central Merry (JCM) High’s new entry celebrates its rich history with a renewed mission and promise of the future. The school which had been closed since 2015, has undergone extensive renovations over the past 18 months and is primed to open its doors to student scholars this fall with bold finishes, refreshed classrooms, and graphics that highlight school spirit. JCM Field House, a sleek metal and glass 24,000-square-foot structure, boasts a gathering lobby with murals and memorabilia and a gleaming new gymnasium to host basketball, volleyball, and other sports. JCM Field House will serve as a new community beacon and civic gathering place. JCM Junior and Senior High and JCM Fieldhouse are part of a trio of LRK projects with Jackson Healthy Community Redevelopment Agency currently under construction.
