Anchored on the University of Memphis Lambuth campus, the Madison Academic Magnet High School creates a new learning environment dedicated to arts, sciences, and academic achievement. The three-story masonry structure offers a fresh interpretation of collegiate architecture with a material palette harmonized with the historic campus. Arriving under the shade of the Great Oak trees, students and guests are greeted inside by a central gathering lobby and stair sparking collaboration. Throughout the halls, labs, and classrooms, bold floor finishes and compelling wall graphics celebrate school spirit. This new high school is a stark contrast from the current school attended by Madison students, which was built in 1928. Madison High School is one of a trio of LRK projects for Jackson Healthy Community Redevelopment Agency currently under construction.
