Originally home to a printing company, the S.C. Toof & Company building (c. 1912) was recently rehabilitated and converted into a mixed-use development featuring 50 loft apartments and 38,750 square feet of street-level commercial space. Interiors feature original masonry walls, concrete columns, and restored wood floors married with modern fixtures and finishes. Where high ceilings permitted, elevated loft spaces with alternating tread access ladders were tucked above bathrooms. Color schemes were inspired by historic industrial hues and found printing equipment has been repurposed as décor in common areas. Located along the trolley line and within the Memphis Ballpark District, the Pressbox Lofts leased at an exceptionally fast pace.
