After an exhaustive search of the city of Memphis and other cities around the nation, ServiceMaster decided to renovate the long-vacant Peabody Place Mall for their new corporate headquarters. To consolidate locations and bring 1,200 employees under one roof, the four-story Peabody Place was transformed into a 328,000-square-foot Class A office space. The 20,000-square-foot ground floor space, formerly occupied by Tower Records, was also transformed into a collaborative technology and innovation center. LRK provided architectural core and shell services for the renovation and prepared initial visioning documents presenting design possibilities to ServiceMaster, Belz, and the Downtown Memphis Commission.
