The client expressed a desire to be an essential part of revitalizing this long vacant, 127-year-old complex of industrial buildings on the Memphis Bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. Their offices are situated on four open levels, with new windows in the original arched openings bringing daylight to the interior of the space. The design concept highlights the existing materials and textures, from the plaster, brick, and ornamental ironwork, to preserved graffiti on the walls, providing a unique backdrop for the client’s art collection while preserving the building’s character.
